![]() ![]() ![]() their outspoken employees always try and tell the media what their hardcore fanbase want and for some strange reason are deluded in thinking that everybody who has an xbox, is a halo fanatic. Why are people generalizing what 360 games are and want? I guess you can blame microshaft for this. No replay value? Theres lots of different endings and changes in the story each time u play. we dont want god of war 3 .uhh oh ya because we have dantes inferno? Anyways HEAVY RAIN is on my must buy list and will be bought after i buy god of war 3. If they care less why do they have to explain why they dont want it? DENIAL! Uhh. Watch theres gonna be another xbox site that puts another article about why xbox owners dont want heavy rain just like they dont want MAG. 360 guys are gonna say this game is crap no matter what, or we dont want it or something lame like that. Seriuodly who doesnt like stuff with mystery and serial killers? This is a game i want to play with the lights off, everything quiet, no friends over unless they will sit there and be quiet, and gonna be really stoned(uhh your always stoned when playin games). Maybe she will play that after im done (she wants to watch the entire thing while i play then have her own runthrough) and i can finally play some uncharted 2 MP, shes a hog with uncharted 2 MP. Im excited about this game and my wife cant wait either. ![]() the only exception this year is the Last Guardian. Personally, I would like to buy it but not for $60, but I'm like that with every Single Player game. If it's not your style that's fine but others are loving it. And besides, the purpose is to make a story that doesn't breakaway, and if Heavy Rain where to have you running around pressing X to every character or object you interact with, it wouldn't be the game that the creators wanted to make to begin with. It may be highly scene-oriented, but you do get a lot of control from what I've seen. The branching of these options seems to be the biggest thing with this game. And how is HR a "wannabe"? They dont want to make movies, they wanted to make an interactive experience (that's what video games are) that focused more on the small interactions. Why not do that instead of this crap wannabe game?"įunny enough, people also use your same logic against MGS. Most people believe it has a great story with fun gameplay. "If these guys want to make games than do that, if they want to make movies they need a change in career. Also, come on, any game can be put down in one sentence like that: It's heavily scene-oriented, but that just makes the decisions that much more important. This is just a lame ass interactive movie." "There are plenty of games that let you decide the outcome and change the story as you go. Yeah i agree.Ill definitely rent it, its something I want to try.damn it though the voice acting was HORRIBLE in the demo, and in something that is almost a makes it almost unbearable for me.but story wise the demo does a good job of setting things up enough that Id like to see what happens.īut this is a title that would do much better on both s so different that I think it needs a broader installed base to really get is gorgeous visually.but has almost zero grounding in 'normal' gaming.I get that the gameplay is focused almost only on decision making.with qte's for survival.so its not supposed to be like anything else.but I really don't see the appeal of owning it.with consoles being so capable at online now for hundreds of hours of replay value for any one online game.single player only experiences have to go WAY above what they used to for my money.Uncharted 1 and 2 (despite UC2 having an awesome online addition), MGS4 (MGO counts for nothing to me), and the upcoming god of war III do enough with single player to justify me owning it.the gameplay is so addictive and awesome that its worth the money to me.but heavy rain looks like something I play through just once and never touch again.which is why I can't justify buying it.ironic I guess, because Quantic Dream wants you to play through it only once s like they designed something that people would only want to rent and not buy. ![]()
